Job Roles & Responsibilities

  • Audit Management: Oversee audit activities in line with the approved audit schedule.
  • Audit Planning: Contribute to audit planning by gathering background information and preparing schedules.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Review organizational activities to ensure adherence to management instructions, policies, and procedures.
  • Non-Compliance Investigation: Identify and investigate instances of non-compliance with established procedures.
  • Transaction Monitoring: Regularly monitor transactions as per AFEX Compliance guidelines and report inconsistencies.
  • Internal Controls Assessment: Evaluate existing internal controls to determine their effectiveness in achieving company objectives.
  • Training Review: Assess the effectiveness of AML training materials used by Compliance.
  • Financial Information Review: Examine methods for identification, classification, and reporting of financial information to ensure reliability and relevance.
  • AML Policy Review: Ensure AML policies are followed in transactions.
  • KYC & Onboarding Review: Review KYC and onboarding documents for individual and corporate clients and assess onboarding policies and processes.
  • Additional Duties: Perform any other tasks assigned by the department head or management.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience: 3 – 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Qualifications: CA, ACCA or CA Inter, with additional qualifications in internal audit such as CIA, CFE, etc., and relevant certifications in Compliance and internal audit.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office, with strong data analysis capabilities. Experience with Pentana AMS is a plus.
  • Skills: Detail-oriented, strong analytical skills, mature and logical thinking, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
