A glimpse of your typical workday

  • Assist in budget planning and forecasting process including developing financial models to support valuation, planning and forecasting
  • Coordinating with business unit heads/managers to build their annual budgets & forecasts and consolidating into one overall budget
  • Assist with month-end close process and prepare monthly management reports (PL/BS/CF) for Group companies
  • Help prepare and present comprehensive financial packages with detail commentaries critical to strategic planning efforts
  • Prepare and analyze profitability of each business unit/activity with highlighted risk and sensitivity
  • Provide timely, reliable and relevant financial management information for performance monitoring
  • Help to develop finance strategy by partnering with sales heads, treasury, accounting, supply chain, logistics and HR across Group companies
  • Assist in designing financial management and reporting database inc. daily sales, KPI dashboards, price-volume-mix variance analysis, payroll and headcount simulations, margin analysis, cost benefit analysis and etc
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools and Excel dashboards
  • Continually review work practices and procedures for better operational efficiency; proactively raise management attention to problems and resolutions in financial processes and controls
  • Support management with special projects and workflow process improvements and internal control assessment (zero based budgeting, activity-based costing and etc)
  • Strengthen the internal control through rigorous reviews of the management information, highlighting exceptions and unusual figures, investigating causes and identifying risk areas/weaknesses
  • Build close working relationship with other business functions to provide technical advice on FP&A issues
  • Performed other ad-hoc reports as requested

What will make you stand out

  • 3-5+ years of business finance or other relevant experience
  • High proficiency in financial modeling
  • Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions – advanced user
  • Strong analytical and data gathering skills
  • Familiarity with data query/data management tools is extremely helpful (Access, SQL, Business Objects)
  • BA, BS, or BCom degree required (Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills; adoptable and quick learner
  • Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow
  • Comfort dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational skills and utmost accuracy with numbers
