About the Role

The HR Manager at the UAE National Orchestra (UAENO) will play a pivotal role in aligning human resources strategies with the organization’s mission to foster artistic excellence. This position involves developing and implementing HR strategies, managing the HR budget, and optimizing policies and processes to ensure compliance and operational efficiency. The HR Manager will oversee talent acquisition, workforce planning, and learning and development programs to enhance employee skills and engagement. They will lead performance management initiatives, manage employee relations, and develop competitive compensation and benefits structures. Additionally, the HR Manager will maintain strategic relationships with external partners to support UAENO’s HR needs, ensuring a high-performing and motivated workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Leadership:

  • Develop and implement the HR strategy to align with UAENO’s mission and objectives.
  • Lead HR initiatives to support organizational goals, improve employee satisfaction, and ensure high-quality HR services.

Budgeting and Resource Management:

  • Develop and manage the annual HR budget in line with strategic priorities.
  • Ensure optimum resource utilization within the HR function.

Policies and Process Optimization:

  • Develop and implement HR policies and best practices to streamline operations.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory changes affecting HR activities.

Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning:

  • Collaborate with senior management and department heads to design effective talent acquisition strategies and manpower planning.
  • Oversee recruitment efforts to meet staffing needs and align with organizational goals.

Learning and Development:

  • Conduct training needs analyses and design development programs based on employee skill gaps and UAENO’s strategic goals.
  • Evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of training programs.

Performance Management:

  • Lead the development and implementation of a performance management system that aligns with UAENO’s objectives.
  • Monitor and report on HR metrics, offering actionable insights for continuous improvement.

People Management and Employee Relations:

  • Manage and develop the HR team, fostering a culture of feedback, coaching, and employee engagement.
  • Oversee employee relations activities, including payroll management, performance queries, and disciplinary investigations.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Lead the development of competitive salary and benefits structures.
  • Manage salary reviews and incentive plans in line with company performance.

External Relationship Management:

  • Maintain strategic relationships with recruitment agencies, training providers, and external vendors.
  • Ensure alignment with external partners to support UAENO’s HR needs.

About You:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • HR certification from CIPD, SHRM, or HRCI is required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years in HR, with at least 3-4 years of experience as an HR manager or HRBP.
  • Proven track record of HR operations management, including talent acquisition, performance management, and compensation.
  • In-depth knowledge of UAE labor laws and regulations.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent strategic planning and execution abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in HR management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Fluency in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus).

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working in the UAE musical or cultural industry.
  • Expert knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance within the music industry.
