Overview

Job Purpose

Reports to Finance Manager and contributes to overall success of Abu Dhabi National Hotels by effectively managing all financial tasks, overseeing budget and accounting processes.

Main Accountabilities and Duties

Management Reporting and Controlling

  • Contribute and assist Finance Manager towards implementation of financial process and assist in developing financial policies and procedures for hotels in conjunction with Corporate Finance and Hotels Finance Manager.
  • Review Cash and Bank at Head office.
  • Coordinate with Finance manager for additional Finance requirements.
  • Timely assistance in reviewing and monitoring of management agreements with Hotel Operators.
  • Assist in reviewing, monitoring, and interpreting of financial performance of all hotels and their respective divisions on a regular basis.
  • Assist on developing a business focused management information reporting to provide timely, structured, and accurate information to senior management for decision making.
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly forecast summaries for all hotels as well as corporate level Hotel division to facilitate planning ahead of business.
  • Perform any other duties as required by Management.

Budgeting and Monitoring

  • Review and consolidate the budgets for Hotels and their Corporate Division.
  • Assess and monitor individual unit cash flow situation and ensure that they comply with corporate level requirements.
  • Analyze variations between budgeted performance and actual results and facilitate corrective action.

Project Accounting and Controlling

  • Provide accurate and timely reporting on project payment activities of individual projects to financial controller and coordinate with Finance Manager for availability of budget.
  • To ensure all project payments are following the company’s approval process and is supported with relevant backups.

Requirements

  • University Bachelor Degree (Additional professional qualifications like CA/ ACCA/ CIA/ CFE/ CPA is preferred).
  • 4- 5 years of experience in relevant field. Including at least 2 years in Big 4 firms.
  • Strong service orientation and positive attitude
  • High personal standards and good work ethics
  • Handle challenging situations with a view to obtaining the best possible result for all stakeholders.
  • Train, mentor and assist less experienced colleagues.
  • Demonstrate consistent “team player” skills by working to the “greater good” goal ensuring overall success of operation.
