About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Accountant with a strong background in IFRS to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with IFRS standards, and providing support in the preparation of financial statements. This role will also involve collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and finalize financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
  • Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest IFRS standards and ensure proper implementation within the company’s financial practices.
  • Prepare reports and reconciliations to ensure adherence to IFRS requirements.
  • Collaborate with auditors to ensure compliance with IFRS during external audits.
  • Maintain and oversee the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor and reconcile all balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Analyze financial data to provide insights for financial planning and decision-making.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the company’s financial assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
  • Identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to strengthen internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and filing requirements.
  • Collaborate with the tax team to support tax planning, reporting, and audits.
  • Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support business objectives.
  • Communicate financial results to senior management, offering explanations and guidance on trends and variances.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CMA) preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Financial Accountant, with strong knowledge of IFRS.
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, and internal controls.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
