Job Description/Role
Key Responsibilities
- Be responsible for and oversee the entire accounting operations.
- Plan, implement and oversee overall accounting strategy
- Take responsibility for accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity etc.
- Design and implement accounting and compliance policies and controls of the company.
- Support and provide guidance to Managing Director in financial and accounts related areas.
- Analyze data and generate management reports to ensure smooth financial operation of the company.
- Manage month end, quarter end and fiscal end closures and work with the auditors.
- Set up and monitor accounting KPIs
- Exceed management targets and KPIs.
Job Requirements – Skills and Capabilities
- Deep knowledge on accounting processes and management of accounts.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent computer skills with MS Excel and ideally with ZOHO Books accounting software.
- Capable to learn fast and adapt to new technologies and constantly changing work environment.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPA) are highly desirable
Qualifications
- University degree in Business, Accounting or Finance.
- Five years of experience as an Accounting manager.
- Previous business experience in hospitality, travel, or real estate industry is preferred.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
