Job Description/Role
Role Summary:
Define and manage the IMI Shared Services Payroll and Treasury function ensuring that payroll of each employee is processed accurately and on time whilst adhering to IMI shared services and each entity policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Review the registration of new employees for IMI and SNA and ensure employee documents, salary details, and bank details are accurate and complete.
- Process the monthly payroll of all of SNA and IMI employees and ensure salaries are paid on time each month.
- Prepare monthly payroll processing reports as required (for example variance report, audit report, salary detail, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations with regard to employees’ tax deductions/status and liaise with external payroll and tax consultants for advice when necessary deductions.
- Review monthly payroll deductions, additions, and changes and ensure proper approvals and documentation are obtained.
- Work closely with the IMI HR department to resolve any discrepancies in the monthly payroll file.
- Ensure monthly payroll is approved by each entity (as per entity DOA) by the end-of-month cut-off date and follow up for any delayed approvals.
- Review final settlements, increments, and bonus payments ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Manage the monthly payment process of freelancer invoices as per signed agreements ensuring approvals are sought and timesheets completed etc.
- Manage the ‘month end’ process ensuring that the close schedule is consistently met for the payroll function of each entity and any required reconciliations are prepared and reviewed on a timely basis.
- Liaise with treasury team funds are available before the upcoming payroll cycle.
- Ensure compliance with IMI shared services policies in relation to Payroll and treasury.
- Ensure that appropriate and effective controls are in place throughout the processing procedure and that these are regularly reviewed.
- Continually develop the payroll and treasury policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience in a Senior Payroll Role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Organized, efficient, and proactive.
- Results-driven and self-motivated.
- Ability to prioritize and work to tight deadlines with flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
- PC skills – Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP experience highly desirable.
- Good written and spoken English are essential. Arabic is a plus.
