The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and customer billing. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.
Responsibilities
- Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
- Recording all revenues and preparing invoices
- Recording all expenses and managing payments
- Recording all reimbursements from employees and payments
- Generating monthly payroll and monthly DEWS schedule
- Budget preparation and tracking
- Bank reconciliation, petty cash management and maintaining cash flow
- Preparing and submission of DFSA PIB reports, VAT reports, monthly MIS and other financial reports
- Preparing monthly management accounts – P&L, Balance Sheet, capital monitoring
- Work closely with team members to assist with the month-end close
- Assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and related notes
- Research and analyze expense variances for company management
Qualifications
- 3+ years’ of professional accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
- CPA preferred
- DIFC/DFSA experience required
- Asset management, investment/corporate banking experience desirable
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer software applications
- Multi-tasking and good time managements skills
- Highly motivated and proactive, well-organized individual who will use their own initiative daily.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Knowledge of accounting software QuickBooks advantageous
- Negotiation experience with suppliers; experience managing private and confidential information
- Integrity and high ethical and professional standards
- Manage and communicate effectively with regulators and auditors.
