YDE presents a unique opportunity for a talented individual to join the company and lead a quantitative team focused on driving the financial modeling efforts of the company.
The Senior Manager – Financial Modeling must have substantial experience in complex financial modeling and be excited about bringing clean energy solutions to businesses in the Middle East, South Asia, and Africa. She/He will report to the CFO initially, with a dotted line to the VP of Structured Finance and Financial Controller and will work closely with all respective teams across the organization.
Principal responsibilities include:
- Managing the company’s quantitative analyses which include lease calculators, bankable project/portfolio models, databasing as well as the corporate model/business plan.
- Supporting the business development and corporate finance teams on transactions as required
Key Result Areas and Responsibilities
KRA 1: Develop and maintain an entire suite of financial models and assist in strategic initiatives and critical decision making
- Develop and update corporate valuation models and perform cash flow and transaction analyses.
- Prepare financial forecasts and present to the management.
- Communicate data-driven insights through analyses, reporting and data visualization.
- Lead ad-hoc financial modeling requests from the business development team.
- Support the senior management team across diverse strategic initiatives and critical decisions by performing dedicated sensitivity analyses and developing new modeling tools as required.
- Support the accounting team in developing financial forecasts and reporting tools.
- Develop and prepare a variety of financial reports pertaining to project feasibility and performance.
- Integrate actual financial results with forecasted financials, therefore, maintaining a complete financial forecast for the group.
KRA 2: Support the accounting team in developing financial forecasts and reporting tools
- Understand and apply (with support from the Financial Controller and the CARP team) complex accounting arrangements including but not limited to inter-company recharges and balances, distribution of dividends, lease accounting etc.
KRA 3: Deliver strategic and operative leadership for the Financial Modeling team
- Supervises and motivates direct reports to achieve results and instil a culture of continuous improvement.
- Creates a high-performing team environment enabling employees to reach their full potential and maximize personal and business performance.
- Proactively identifies and resolves issues and delegates to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
- Recruit, develops, and retains employees, partnering with Senior Management and Human Resources.
- Defines and communicates annual goals, performs formal and informal performance reviews,
- Ensures changes and updates are communicated in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensures compliance with the law and company policies.
