SRMG is looking for an exceptionally talented Marketing & PR Manager to join its new travel, culture, and arts publication.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with Commercial & Strategy Manager to develop communications strategy and detailed action plan which supports Hia’s strategic planning and activities
  • Developing a marketing & communications plan including activities, timelines and budgets
  • Develop a media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media
  • Coordinate all public relations activities
  • Direct social media teams to engage audiences across traditional and new media
  • Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media
  • Manage media inquiries and interview requests
  • Create content for press releases, byline articles and keynote presentations
  • Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on an on-going basis
  • Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness
  • Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them
  • Act as Hia’s communications gatekeeper, ensuring consistency, quality and effectiveness of delivery of Hia’s key communications messages internally and externally
  • Liaise with key staff who represent Hia publicly ensuring clear and consistent organizational messaging
  • Manage relationships with ad-hoc external PR individuals or PR agencies, as required
  • Lead market research efforts to uncover the viability of current and existing products/services
  • Collaborate with media organizations and advertising agencies
  • Monitor current campaigns, ensuring deadlines and budgets are respected
  • Analyze data to evaluate the success of marketing efforts and come up with new ideas to improve brand marketing and exposure

Policies, processes, and Procedures:

  • Conduct day-to-day activities while ensuring compliance to policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes taking into account leading practices, changes in business environment, cost reduction and productivity improvement

Education, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • 6- 8 years of experience in Marketing, PR or any other related field in a medium sized-reputable organization.
  • Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at both a local and national level
  • Strong relationships with both local and national business and industry media outlets
  • Experience in acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews
  • Intimate understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels
  • Outstanding oral and written communication
