Overview

As the Financial Analyst you will assume a pivotal role in overseeing our financial transactions, ensuring the precision and trustworthiness of our accounting records. You will act as the primary liaison, tasked with fostering a seamless connection with Chalhoub Group, while adeptly managing day-to-day accounting duties, petty cash processes, and the handling of supplier payments and expenses.

You will have the opportunity to serve as a key contributor to a fast paced, high growth environment and strengthen your understanding of both operational and technical accounting processes.

  • Be responsible for accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures for certain key balance sheets and income statement accounts (including preparing and/or reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations).
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with various organizations within the Company, including Operations, Creative, Technology and Data, and Merchandise to support the accounting close process.
  • Monitor cash flow, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
  • Prepare audit schedules
  • Assist and prepare internal management reporting documents to support company decision making and analysis.
  • Preparing tax returns
  • Preparing financial analyses and reports.
  • Preparing revenue projections and forecasting expenditure.
  • Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets.
  • Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
  • Assisting with annual audit preparations.
  • Collaborate with department heads to seek necessary approvals for financial transactions, and expenditures, ensuring all approvals are properly documented and aligned with company policies.
  • Ensure the accurate processing and timely actioning of supplier payments, maintaining alignment with contractual terms and internal controls. This includes verifying payment requests and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Cash handling cash transactions and maintain appropriate documentation and control

What You’ll Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with a focus on Accounting.
  • 4-5+ years of relevant work experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles.
  • Strong proficiency in technical accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, including pivot tables and data analysis.
  • Experience with Zoho Books and Oracle are preferred.
