A glimpse of your typical workday

The Sales Supervisor – Traditional Trade will be responsible for overseeing and managing sales activities within the traditional trade channels. This role includes leading a team of sales representatives, ensuring sales targets are met, and maintaining strong relationships with key retailers and distributors in the assigned territory.

  • Conduct regular training and coaching sessions to enhance the team’s skills and product knowledge.
  • Supervise and guide a team of sales representatives, ensuring they meet their sales targets and KPIs.
  • Implement sales strategies and plans to achieve company objectives within the traditional trade segment.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, providing regular feedback to the sales team and management.
  • Conduct regular market visits to ensure the effective execution of sales strategies and to gather market intelligence.
  • Identify and address issues in the field, providing solutions to improve performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key retailers, distributors, and other trade partners.
  • Negotiate terms of sales agreements, promotions, and pricing to ensure competitive positioning in the market.
  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports, analyzing data to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Use market insights to recommend adjustments to sales strategies and promotional activities.
  • Coordinate with the supply chain and inventory teams to ensure product availability in the market.
  • Monitor stock levels at trade partners’ locations, preventing stockouts and overstocking situations.
  • Support the planning and execution of promotional campaigns within the traditional trade channels.
  • Monitor the success of promotions and adjust tactics as needed to maximize sales impact.

What will make you stand out

  • 3+ years of experience in a supervisory sales role, preferably within the FMCG industry and traditional trade
  • Proven track record of managing and motivating a sales team.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and market trends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
