Revenue Co-ordinator (Middle East)
Fixed Term Contract for 12 months

Job Description: The Team: This role is based in the firm’s Dubai office and will assist the Regional Revenue Manager with the WIP management and billing function for the Dubai office. The successful candidate is required to have strong billing experience and detailed knowledge of effective WIP management to ensure that the firm’s working capital targets are achieved.

The Revenue department in the Dubai office is an integral part of the overall finance function and consists of two Revenue Coordinators and Credit Controllers – all are reporting to the Regional Revenue Manager, based in Dubai.

The Role: The key components of the role include but are not limited to. The following:

  • Organising and holding monthly WIP review meetings with partners for billing and matter maintenance requirements. Ensuring that matter billing estimates are obtained from partners and uploaded in the central
  • To review levels of work in progress and disbursements and ensure that Partners raise bills in a timely manner or write off WIP that cannot be recovered.
  • To prepare draft bills and provide supporting information and analysis as requested by the Regional Revenue Manager/Partners/Fee Earners.
  • To ensure transactions comply with Solicitors Code of Conduct as applicable.
  • To ensure that invoices are finalised and dispatched to clients promptly in line with established deadlines and cut offs.
  • Ad hoc duties as assigned by the Regional Revenue Manager or the Regional Finance Manager

Skills And Experience Required:

  • An enthusiastic and proactive team player
  • Ability to build a positive relationship with a range of stakeholders at all levels including clients, partners, lawyers, secretaries and office services.
  • Must be articulate and professional in delivery, with a well-developed sense of discretion
  • Adaptable and able to complete tasks without close supervision
  • Self-motivated, dedicated and ability to display a sense of humour
  • Strong legal billing experience, preferably with recent experience of Aderant Expert systems
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook and general familiarity with IT systems
  • Must be flexible over hours and prepared to work occasional overtime when required, in particular at month and year ends

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in revenue management, accounting, or a related role.
  • Experience in a similar industry is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications such as CPA, CFA, or similar are advantageous but not mandator
