Role Purpose
Deliver financial reporting, analysis and insight on IMEA Business Unit IHG performance to support the IMEA business in driving performance and value to IHG. Support IMEA and EMEAA wide Operations Finance initiatives.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide day to day financial management and analytics to support the VP Finance IMEA manage the financial performance of the IMEA Business Unit including P&L, System Funded and Self-Funded programmes. Support the VP Finance IMEA, Head of FP&EA EMEAA and EMEAA CFO to identify and assess IMEA-specific performance challenges, risks and opportunities
- Manage the preparation of performance updates for the IMEA LT with the support from the FP&A COE to produce period deliverables including monthly performance reviews, Divisional trading reviews, IMEA/ Divisional Quarterly Business reviews, overhead reporting and other
- Work with Head of FP&A EMEAA and the EMEAA FP&A COE to deliver continuous improvement in budgeting, forecasting, reporting and controls processes, ensuring processes are consistent, robust, efficient and repeatable
- Business partner IMEA LT with ad-hoc and project financial analysis to support continuous improvement in cost efficiency and revenue delivery e.g. headcount and cost base analysis, efficiency projects, portfolio/growth integration, fee analysis
- Support the review, preparation and analysis of the annual IMEA budgets
- Support preparation of the annual refresh of hotel budget guidance
- Support IMEA and EMEAA wide Operations Finance projects that enable deliver of enhanced performance in areas of profitability, controls and people
- Support IMEA Operations Finance Talent Agenda through contributions to finance conferences and regular team calls
- Support IMEA self-funded programmes with financial management including RMH and India NSO
Key Skills & Experiences: Educational Attainment:
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
Critical Expertise & Experience:
- 5+ years of progressive work-related experience in multiple areas of accounting, reporting, financial and/or business analysis in a large or mid-sized multinational corporation
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
- Advanced user of Oracle, reporting tools, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Essbase/Smart view
- Able to proactively and independently manage work load and work as a team player.
- Ability to prioritise and to operate effectively in a fast moving, global environment with tight deadlines.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
- Critical thinking and ability to connect and explain linkage between drivers and outputs.
