Accountant

Al Sameem, a growing company based in the UAE, seeks a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to oversee and manage our financial operations. The ideal candidate must already be based in the UAE, have in-depth knowledge of UAE-specific accounting practices and VAT regulations, and have a proven track record in financial management within the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Manage accounts payable, receivable, and payroll in compliance with UAE labor laws.
• Prepare and file VAT returns, ensuring strict adherence to UAE tax regulations.
• To support financial planning, develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular audits and implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
• Provide actionable insights to optimize financial performance and cost management.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is preferred.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE tax laws, VAT regulations, and local accounting practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management and external stakeholders.
• Must currently reside in the UAE and be eligible to work.
