Job Purpose:

A Medical Sales Representative is responsible for advertising and promoting specific brands to doctors, as well as selling products that fall under these brands to pharmacies, hospitals, or clinics.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

1)ย ย ย ย Take ownership of sales KPIs per client and ensure sales and profitability targets are met or exceeded

2)ย ย ย ย Identify and establish new business in alignment with the R&BP team

3)ย ย ย ย Follow up on leads generated by the company and be responsible for KPIs related to closure rate

4)ย ย ย ย Promote the companyโ€™s brands in clinics, pharmacies, hospitals, doctors etc. by maintaining frequent visits to explore needs and double check stock replenishment needs

5)ย ย ย ย Prepare oral discussions or sales scripts for potential customers meeting their requirements

6)ย ย ย ย Undertake relevant research (Competitorโ€™s medications and their respective market performances) in alignment with the R&BP team

7)ย ย ย ย Determine clientsโ€™ product needs and communicate them with the R&BP team for them to research and provide recommendations

8)ย ย ย ย Stay up to date of new developments in the medical field to determine the effect of such developments on the company’s business strategies

9)ย ย ย ย Conduct product training for customers/clients

10) Lead, or participate in events that are deemed necessary for the business

11)ย Prepare business proposals, and quotations in alignment with the operations officer up to a threshold, otherwise, exceeding this threshold, this has to be approved by the MD

12)ย Ensure that all vendors adhere to the return/expiration policy

13)ย Maintain strong and close relationships with all clients, and medical representatives as well to ensure the MedRep gets the market insights even from competitors

14)ย Ensure timely payment collection as per the payment terms, otherwise escalate to the Accountant in case it impacts the receivables

15)ย Prepare weekly report that includes all customers visited and the outcomes of those meetings
