What will I be doing?

To provide leadership and support in Human Resource overall operations. You will also be required to manage succession planning and assist the Director of HR with strategy . To manage and support the onsite HR and L&D team.

Core Competencies

  • Enhances the organizationโ€™s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
  • To support the business in attracting, recruiting, retaining, and developing people to meet the business requirements.
  • Manage employee relations issues in the hotel in a confidential manner, including disciplinaries, grievances, and capability.
  • Good working knowledge of UAE employment law and HR best practice.
  • Control costs when possible and assist in meeting hotel/departmental financial targets.
  • Ensure pay reviews/absence monitoring/wage queries are managed in line with company guidelines.
  • Training Needs Analysis, Training Planning, Implementation and Monitoring, Hotel Orientation/Induction, Trainer Skills, Trainer Evaluation, Department Training, Performance Appraisal
  • Compliance the Training Need Analysis as per SLIM guidelines.
  • Conducts monthly orientation for new hire.
  • Introduces Shangri-La Group, Vision, Mission, Philosophy, Guiding Principles, and Shangri-La Care and other core service skills and knowledge trainings.
  • Ensures the cascading of SLA Trainer Skill I and II especially for identified Departmental Trainers.
  • Implements course evaluation for program such as Orientation, Shangri-La Care, IM, Trainer Skills I & II, Language Training & STAR Training.
  • Conducts Shangri-La Care and Shangri-La Careโ€ฆ Our Culture follow-up meetings/trainings.
  • Regularly monitors departmental training activity progress.
  • Assists in coordinating the scheduled Performance Development Review by conducting training to all staff, except for Service Executive levels.
  • Assists in fostering beneficial communication and network with relevant external agencies and organizations.
  • Formulation and implementation of generic trainings, especially the Shangri-La Care core modules.
  • Be environmental friendly, reduce waste, recycle when possible, and reuse whenever applicable

What are we looking for?
