Overview

Your Role: As an Accounting Manager, you will be reporting to the Middle East Managing Director(s) and Regional Finance Director in Singapore, manage the day-to-day finance operations and work closely with the local office Studio Directors and Design Managers.

What You Will Do:

  • Oversee office full accounting functions including but not limited to: Project accounting, accounts payable, general ledger financial reporting and analysis, and month end closing.
  • Conduct performance comparative analysis for the office, studios (Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly)
  • Oversee all Coupa approval flows ensuring accurate recording of payments and appropriateness of all expenditure and disbursements.
  • Monitor Accounts Receivable and assist in collection efforts when necessary
  • Prepare, analyse, and take ownership over monthly reforecasts in Anaplan including coordination with all related functions.
  • Assist Regional Finance Director in annual budgeting process
  • Deadline enforcement for billing, cash requirements, expense reports and expenses.
  • Key person of accounting contact for the offices – responsible for disseminating information, and provide advice and support for other Accounting Managers in the firm
  • Ability to manage the various processes taking place within the region (A/P, cash receipts, project accounting)
  • Ensuring that offices follow best practices on a consistent basis.
  • Leadership, taking initiative, being proactive in trying better processes.
  • Attend project set-up meetings for large or global projects, if any.
  • Mentor, coach and train the accounting staff.
  • Participate in regional finance meetings and involved in global initiatives.
  • Assist in pilot testing of new FW Initiatives, processes, and reporting.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, with 10 plus years working experience in accounting or financial planning and analysis area in a multi-national company.
  • Chartered Accountant, Certified Public Accountant or equivalent is preferred.
  • Prior experience in the built environment is preferred, particularly in fields such as architecture, interior design, or engineering.
  • Solid knowledge of local Accounting Standards; Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP is a plus
  • Good understanding of UAE and KSA tax regulations and tax accounting principles e.g. VAT, Income Tax and Deferred Tax etc.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage multiple and shifting priorities in a dynamic environment, and produce accurate and timely deliverables
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people from different cultures and levels both internal and external to the firm
  • Strong customer service orientation, a team player with the ability to establish collaborative working relationships
  • Results driven detail orientated and hardworking
