Overview
Position Overview:
As our Senior Accountant, you will be a key contributor to our financial success, and your responsibilities will include:
- Lead Cash Flow Forecasting: Oversee the cash flow forecasting process for the organization by collaborating with the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Collections teams to ensure accurate forecasting,
- Short-Term Financing Strategies: Utilize strong knowledge of short-term financing strategies to support cash flow requirements and meet operational needs effectively,
- Banking Affairs Management: Handle banking affairs, including interactions with relationship managers, management of credit facilities, and the annual completion of KYC (Know Your Customer) documentation,
- Supervision of Payables Team: Supervise the payables team to manage key supplier relationships, ensure monthly vendor reconciliation, and guarantee timely booking of all invoices,
- Supervision of Receivables Team: Oversee the receivables team to ensure that invoices are issued promptly, accepted by clients, and that Statements of Account (SOAs) are submitted and acknowledged by clients,
- Collection Team Oversight: Supervise the collections team by assigning tasks for key customer visits, setting collection targets, and ensuring monthly targets are achieved,
- Customer Communication: Communicate with customers to resolve outstanding balances, negotiate payment plans, and proactively address disputes to maintain strong relationships,
- Credit Management Expertise: Demonstrate strong knowledge of credit management, including the assignment of credit limits, assessment of credit validity, and evaluation of clients based on credit history,
- Financial Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics, providing detailed and actionable insights to senior management to inform strategic decisions,
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments to ensure effective cash management procedures and enhance overall financial operations,
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and adherence to internal controls to safeguard the organization’s financial integrity,
- SAP HANA Proficiency: Maintain strong knowledge of SAP HANA and utilize it effectively for financial reporting and analysis,
- Issuance of Financial Documents: Manage the issuance of financial documents such as Letters of Credit (LC), Letters of Guarantee (LG), Murabaha agreements, and collection documents.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA / ACCA / CMA qualification is a plus),
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the healthcare sector or a senior supervisory role,
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards,
- Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems (SAP HANA is a must),
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills related to financial performance,
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment,
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to upholding ethical standards in healthcare finance.
