About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Manager / Senior Accountant to join our team and play a critical role in managing our financial operations, budgeting processes, and cross-functional coordination with external partners and financial institutions. This position requires strong analytical skills, a hands-on attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

This is a full-time role based in our offices in Abu Dhabi / Dubai. Candidates residing in Abu Dhabi and able to join on short notice are strongly preferred.

Reporting directly to the CEO of Akhdar General Trading LLC (UAE), the Senior Accountant will join a team dedicated to trading agricultural commodities in a fast-growing commodity trading company.

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage and execute all aspects of trade finance, including Letters of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees, Bills of Exchange, and other trade finance instruments.

· Coordinate with clients, financial institutions, and internal teams to ensure successful execution and compliance with trade agreements.

· Oversee the preparation, verification, and submission of trade documentation to ensure it aligns with agreed terms and regulatory requirements.

· Ensure compliance with relevant trade finance regulations, internal policies, and global standards.

· Provides and verifies the correctness of the Income & Expenditure Budget and other reporting documentation of the Company.

· Prepares and saves assigned reporting forms in the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) in a timely manner. System that is used Odoo, experience preferred.

· Collects and processes information to compare data between accounting and management accounting systems.

· Generates payment requests for annual and monthly budgets in the Information System, makes payments after passing approval procedures.

· Prepares information on the financial and economic activities of the Company.

· Participates in the preparation of presentation materials for managerial decisions.

· Participates in the implementation of software projects to automate operations for cost accounting, transactions, pricing and other areas related to financial or accounting functions.

· Prepares analytical notes or other analytical materials on request of the manager within the scope of area of responsibility.

· Manage engagement, communication, and coordination with third parties on corporate and VAT tax matters, as well as the auditing process for the company and related group companies.

· Communicate with banks regarding payment processing, bank account openings, and other official correspondence, serving as the intermediary between the trading team and financial institutions.

· Establish efficient processes for trading, supplier, and service payments for the company ensuring timely execution.

· Navigate internal banking procedures to facilitate seamless payment processes.

· Manage communication with Relationship Managers at banks, addressing account openings, document submissions, payment inquiries, and process improvements.

· Monitoring and handling cash liquidity of the accounts, to ensure smooth trading operations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 10 years relevant working experiences in Finance, Banking or Accounting industries with hands-on experience managing both areas of trade finance & treasury functions.
• In-depth knowledge of trade finance instruments such as Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, Bills of Exchange, and their documentation.
• Strong experience in cash management, liquidity planning, and financial forecasting.
• Familiarity with banking relationships, financial instruments, and securing credit facilities for trade finance needs.
• Proven track record of successfully managing senior stakeholders and external partners in a fast-paced environment.
