Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Executive –Accounts to manage the end-to-end accounts payable process. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate processing of vendor invoices, timely payments, and reconciliation of accounts. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Job Duties & Responsibility:
- Review, verify, and process vendor invoices in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors, including domestic and international remittances.
- Maintain vendor master data and ensure periodic reviews and updates.
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Liaise with internal departments and external vendors for invoice clarifications and approvals.
- Prepare and process payment runs (weekly/monthly) and manage bank transactions related to AP.
- Perform monthly reconciliation of vendor accounts and AP sub-ledger to general ledger.
- Assist in month-end closing activities and provide reports as required.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and clarification.
- Continuously seek process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CA/CPA/CMA qualification is a plus.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in finance, preferably within the e-commerce or retail sector.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
- Advanced MS Excel skills, including financial modeling.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and payment gateway reconciliation.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial compliance.
- Knowledge of the e-commerce ecosystem, including marketplace dynamics.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
