As the Senior Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing our financial operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities will include:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate forecasts and budgets aligned with organizational goals.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and profitability analysis, to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.
- Internal Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
- Audit Management: Coordinate and manage financial audits, liaising with external auditors to facilitate the audit process and address any audit findings or recommendations.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimize cash management strategies to ensure sufficient liquidity and funding for operations.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including timely filing of tax returns, managing tax audits, and implementing tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement within the financial department, implementing best practices to streamline workflows and optimize resource allocation.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA/CA certification preferred).
- At least 7-10 years of progressive experience in financial management, with a focus on financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis.
- Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
- Experience in managing financial audits, including coordination with external auditors.
- Advanced proficiency in financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing financial challenges.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, with experience in ERP systems preferred.
- Ethical conduct and commitment to maintaining financial integrity.
