About the job

The Senior Financial Planning Analyst at Papel is a vital position responsible to co-ordinate the budgeting, forecasting, month-end reporting, and associated FP&A activities reporting direct to the Group CFO. Most importantly, the position will provide extensive support to the CEO to assist in driving strategic business decisions.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Leading the financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis across the business.
  • Analyzing past financial performance, preparing competitor analysis, and examining market trends along with commentary for management.
  • Creates variance analysis reports and financial models.
  • Support and challenge the sales and operations teams with financial issues including providing financial training.
  • Adopting a partner/challenger role in evaluating business plans.
  • Creating financial models to predict growth and forecast performance.
  • Building annual budgets and forecasts for different business units and consolidating them into one master budget.
  • Liaising with senior management, heads of departments, and other key leadership figures.
  • Recommending improvements and use of financing structures such as debt and equity when appropriate.

What You Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance and an accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc.)
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in finance, with at least 4 years in a FP&A role.
  • Communicates effectively and has strong presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Background in the Fintech industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work at pace and meet deadlines.
  • Problem-solving skills and desire to work hard.
