As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Luna PR, you will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our organization.
You will play a critical role in developing and implementing financial strategies, ensuring sound financial practices, and providing strategic financial guidance to drive the company’s growth and success. We are seeking a seasoned financial leader with a strong business acumen and a proven track record in strategic financial management.
Responsibilities include:
-Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy aligned with the overall business objectives.
- Lead the annual budgeting and long-term financial planning processes.
- Identify and evaluate financial risks and opportunities to drive sustainable growth and profitability.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team based on financial analysis and industry trends.
-Financial Management and Operations:
- Oversee the company’s financial operations, including accounting, treasury, tax, and risk management functions.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Implement robust financial controls and policies to safeguard company assets and optimize financial performance.
- Monitor key financial metrics, analyze variances, and take proactive measures to achieve financial targets.
-Capital Management and Investor Relations:
- Manage the company’s capital structure, including debt and equity financing, to support growth initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to raise capital, negotiate terms, and manage relationships with investors and financial institutions.
- Maintain effective communication with investors, analysts, and shareholders regarding the company’s financial performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives.
-Strategic Decision Support:
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making and business planning processes.
- Conduct financial modeling, scenario analysis, and feasibility studies for new projects, investments, and potential acquisitions.
- Evaluate the financial impact of strategic initiatives, mergers, and partnerships, providing recommendations on profitability and risk mitigation.
-Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring professional development opportunities.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships and collaborate with other departments to drive financial and operational efficiency.
- Promote a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability within the finance function.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly desirable.
- Proven experience (8-10 years) as a CFO, VP of Finance, or similar executive-level role, preferably in the PR/marketing industry.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen with a track record of developing and executing financial strategies.
- Demonstrated experience in capital management, fundraising, and investor relations.
- Exceptional financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
