IMGS Group is looking for an ambitious Logistics Coordinator to provide support to the Operations Department by managing all aspects of port and cargo operations including the receipt, storage, and distribution of cargo by rail, sea, or road.
Must have a valid UAE DRIVER’S LICENSE
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily activities involving cargo discharge /loading; the operations of equipment and/or cargo under IMGS Group command. They will also be responsible for initiating/developing/maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and labor organizations, administration (Including operations of stock systems), and working with a team of supervisors and port workers to ensure all operations are undertaken safely and efficiently to customer requirements and IMGS international standards.
Key Requirements / Highlights
- Fantastic communications and relationship management skills
- Good experience in handling cargo operation of General Cargo / Break Bulk / Containers / Heavy Lifts & Liquid Cargo
- Ship agency experience preferred, not essential
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to think creatively, mature, outstanding communication and relationship management skills, well organized, disciplined, and able to follow through
- Results-oriented, high energy levels, and ability to drill into details to achieve results
- Must have a deep understanding of bulk cargo handling, all shipping documentation, and protocol
- Basic bookkeeping skills
- Requires fitness and adaptability to travel
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite
