Job Purpose:

As part of the Americana Foods Procurement team, The role of the Procurement Excellence Manager will be to drive and program manage Procurement Function Transformation and future ready the function for its next wave of evolution in the company, working in close collaboration with all Procurement Leaders as well as other important internal stakeholders such as IT, Internal Control, Audit, Compliance and Finance. Procurement Centre of Excellence will support in my many fronts across all business in different geographies as following:

Management & Governance: Policies, procedures, tools, templates, KPI`s, data (spend/supplier/material master data), data analytics, performance and compliance reporting, talent management / training.

Supplier and Stakeholder Relationship Management: supplier lifecycle performance, qualification, risk management, compliance, sustainability, change management. digital enablement, Innovation workshops and the development and delivery Supplier Day program.

Procurement Operations: Support the purchase to pay (P2P) daily activities, being expert on the procure to pay process and systems, and handling the content management (catalogues, items or supplier data) and the continuous improvement of the processes and tools to ensure business alignment, process efficiency and tool adoption.

Procurement ERP: In coordination with our IT business partners, the COE is responsible for the best design, development, and utilization of Procurement ERP (Coupa, Ariba, GEP, etc) modules for world-class procurement, as well as several other applicable modules, data management, and reporting tools for the same

Key Accountabilities:

Strategic

  • Design, develop and execute strategies that enable the world-class Procurement COE function
  • Contribute towards identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and systems considering learnings from other organizations
  • Design develop and execute Procurement digital and data strategies and roadmaps
  • Develop a comprehensive set of Procurement operational reports to optimize centre and site business decision making regarding spend management, savings delivery, inventory management, supplier management, risk management, etc.
  • Develop a comprehensive set of processes to provide back-office support to category management and site procurement teams
  • Develop and manage a training program that will support talent development for Procurement personnel
  • Perform additional task as assigned and defined by the CPO, Procurement
  • Support the implementation of supplier risk, contract, and relationship management strategy with a special focus on sustainable procurement and suppliers’ compliance.
  • Implementing any initiative addressed to monitor the SRM Program and performance / continuous improvement of our key suppliers.
  • Support the category-risk mapping and identification of critical suppliers in order to prioritize the areas of relative importance to the business for risk evaluation, value and performance and implement any strategy designed to mitigate and monitor such risk.
  • Participating in M&A deals and licensing opportunities compiling and consolidating the necessary feedback from Procurement team members, ensuring that actions are done in a timely manner.
  • Manage long-term data, process, digital and talent transformations within Procurement
  • Manage source-to-pay (S2P) workflow automation, inventory optimization, contract management and supplier relationship management tools via SAP-Ariba, Coupa, GEP, etc
  • Manage material master data, supplier master data, and spend data continuous improvement initiatives
  • Optimize world-class procurement business processes for all aspects of best business decision making where suppliers are involved (including management of supply eg. inventory/warehouse optimization), including insource/outsource decisions
  • Manage the development and execution of a consistent global procurement performance model that accurately defines and measures procurement effectiveness, savings, synergies, and other performance and compliance results
  • Support the Procurement Leadership Team ensuring that best in class tools and process are deployed effectively and efficiently across all Procurement activities.
  • To act as a change agent and continue to drive the transformation agenda. Ensuring both internal and external stakeholders are challenged to pursue Procurement solutions that deliver best value for the business while selecting/utilising the most efficient tools/processes to achieve this.
  • Proactively seek external and internal insights to continuously drive excellence in Procurement.
  • To create Procurement KPI`s, dashboards (Power BI, etc) and support manage deliverables of Procurement accordingly.
  • To support follow up Procurement savings, projects and important KPI`s of Procurement Area

Operational

  • Become a key expert of P2P process being the person who knows and understands more in deep the process including tasks, responsibilities, existing incidents, system enhancements and reporting, documenting those as necessary through handbooks, protocols, SOPs or policies
  • Solve functional doubts regarding procurement processes & tools from internal stakeholders or suppliers across the board, performing customer care operational activities to solve procurement issues raised.
  • Perform operational activities and manage incidences in the systems according to the service delivery model established with the ultimate goal to identify improvements in the process tools having a good coordination with other areas (such IT, Accounts Payable, Controlling).
  • Execute actions to ensure process and tools adoption, ongoing communication and training for internal customer groups, lead buyers and suppliers as necessary.
  • Ensure data cleansing, data accuracy and maintenance.
  • Tactical activities:
  • Supporting the Procurement Leadership team and Lead Buyers in preparing ad hoc analysis, reports and dashboards based on available data in the tools.
  • Procurement Policy: Responsible for the design, development and ongoing improvement of Procurement Governance;

Experience & Skills:

Mandatory:

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Demonstrate a good track record Procure to Pay processes (preferably in FMCG Industry)
  • Experience in implementing and driving compliance of procedures, processes, systems & tools.
  • Knowledge with procurement technologies (Coupa, SAP-Ariba, GEP, Ivalua) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in customer-oriented service positions

Nice to have:

  • Experience of the implementation of Supplier Relationship & Risk Management strategies including contract management plans
  • Fluent in Arabic
  • Some experience translating business needs into process and implementation requirements at ERP project implementation environment will be appreciated
  • Experience in a Procurement team as Category Manager or Tactical Buyer will be appreciated.
