Job Summary:
To ensure efficient & effective delivery of services within the Mental Health Centre of Excellence, whilst working in collaboration with the Head and Assistant Head of the Mental Health Centre of Excellence. This involves the delivery of all operational performance targets, assisting in the delivery of best practice standards, and having responsibility for the overall operational management of the service.
Responsibilities:
- To provide overall management & leadership to the Mental Health Centre of Excellence.
- To provide Line Management Supervision to the Head of Departments.
- To oversee / support each Head of Department, ensuring that rosters, annual leave and training allocation is undertaken.
- To assist in undertaking yearly Appraisals of the Head of Departments in collaboration with the Head of MHCE.
- To attend key meetings as part of the Mental Health Centre of Excellence, acting as the Operational Manager. This may include leading / chairing meetings.
- To oversee the resources available within the entire service, ensuring that Internal Procurement Requests (IPR) are approved from the departments if needed.
- To monitor and allocate department budgets in collaboration with the Head of MHCE.
- To support the Head of Service & Assistant Head of Service in the development and delivery of the model of care for the entire service.
- To play an active part in the overall management of the recruitment process for the service in collaboration with Human Resources, Head of Service & Assistant Head of Service.
- To be responsible for the overall functioning of the service, with the support of the Head of Service & Assistant Head of Service.
- To assist in overseeing any research projects that take place within the service.
- To oversee / operationally manage any complex audit and service evaluation within the service, ensuring that feedback to the MHCE is given.
- To lead / facilitate weekly Huddles with the Head of Service, ensuring that the Head of Departments report out on their departmentโs performance.
- To ensure that all members of the service have a Job Plan, that is regularly reviewed.
- To oversee training programmes within the service.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Strong ability to multitask
- Comfort working with multiple groups within business
