We are looking for a full-time Accountant to manage all financial transactions. Accountant responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements, and calculating VAT payments and returns.
To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping, preparing financial statements, analyzing reports, and a flair for financial analysis.
General Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting transactions including processing donations and payouts.
- Compute taxes, prepare and file VAT returns as per FTA
- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
- Audit financial transactions and documents
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
- Report on the companyโs financial health and liquidity
- Ensure timely bank payments
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
- Comply with financial policies and regulations
Requirements:
- Previous work experience as an Accountant
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
- Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP’s and pivot tables
- Experience with general ledger functions
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
- Good analytical skills
- Good organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
- Confident with IT (especially Excel and any financial software packages)
- Good communications skills (written and verbal)
- Good team player
