Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to report to the Head of Procurement to manage the company’s supply of products and services at Gulf Business Machines Dubai HQ location. Candidate should be able to strategize to find cost-effective deals and maximize supplier output. The Procurement Specialist’s responsibility is to discover cost effective and efficient methods to reduce corporate expenses, manage suppliers SLA’s, and negotiate contract terms and conditions. Proficient in SAP Ariba and SAP ERP S4 Hana.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, drive, and execute new improved procurement strategies across all channels of purchasing
- Evaluate and enhance our operations in local spend while researching and prospecting developments in regional spend
- Discover credible suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships by a comprehensive vendor selection process
- Raise Requisitions of ordering of necessary goods and services
- Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
- Manage every aspect of the supply chain and notify the management of any possible obstacles to ideal efficiency
- Institute policies and procedures for collecting and reporting key metrics that will reduce expenses while increasing productivity
- Perform cost analysis and set appropriate benchmarks
- Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
- Coordinate deliveries with suppliers and project teams
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous terms for contract renewals, terminations, and novation’s
- Control spend and build a long-term culture on procurement costs
Qualifications & Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or SCM, Logistics required (MBA preferred)
- 3-5 years’ experience in procurement or purchasing
- 3+ years’ experience in IT and System Integration industries preferred
- Excellent managerial and training skills

· Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market
