Position Description:

The Financial Planning Analyst will be a key business partner in performance reporting, forecasting, and expense management by gathering data and organizing information, Analyzing financial results, Building Excel models, Making forecasts and projections, Generating reports, Developing recommendations, and Making presentations to improve performance and optimize results.

Job Responsibilities:

• Analyze the past and present financial data of the organization and estimate future revenues and expenditures.
• Operate with key senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning, and tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization.
• Maintain weekly, quarterly, and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting.
• Track monthly and quarterly performance through comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources
• Analyze performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities
• Work with the Accounting group to lead the monthly and quarterly close process
• Amass and monitor forecasting reports
• Manage monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required
• Understand and explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending
• Work closely with cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans

Credentials:

• Financial Planning, Finance, and Budgeting & Forecasting skills
• Analytical Skills
• Ability to build and maintain financial models and forecasting tools
• Excellent understanding of financial statements
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• Certification in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) is a plus
• Experience in the beauty, cosmetics, or retail industry is a plus
• 3+ years of experience as a Financial reporting analyst.
• Experience in spreadsheet and ERP systems, NetSuite experience preferred.
• Command of KPI Reporting and comprehensive knowledge of financial reporting
• Skills in problem-solving through statistical analysis.
