You will join an established business with the energy of a start-up and a loyal client base of well-known brands in a newly created role that you will be able to shape and make your own.
Reporting to the company founders, you will be responsible for building new strategic partnerships to complement our existing client base with the goal of bringing in new hires to support you as your success grows.
Day to day you will:
- Proactively create, manage, and grow strategic partnerships from targeted, recognized leading brands in identified key sectors
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions with leads and customers in the CRM system; maintaining data integrity in all efforts.
- Influence both internal and external stakeholders at various levels with a collaborative but effective, results-orientated approach. Typically, your external stakeholders will include key decision-makers across multiple brands and industries
- Identify and secure new business opportunities
- Strategically review and optimise our sales proposition with the leadership team to improve sales performance
- Be the face and ambassador to our clients, whom you will meet with regularly to build your network and deliver company revenue growth targets
Requirements
- At least 3 years experience in sales and business development in a creative or advertising field to well-known brands
- Experience working in high-growth/scale-up environments. We are an established but growing start-up.
- Solutions-oriented and has a proven track record in exceeding revenue goals
- Self-motivation and drive to make things happen – this is a new role within the organization and requires an individual who has the energy and ambition to hit the ground running
- Strong interpersonal skills, collaboration, demonstrate initiative and follow-through
- Ability to comfortably present, engage and influence at a senior level e.g., Director level and above for medium and large international corporates
- Goal-orientated with proven negotiation skills and a track record of sales success
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A positive attitude and high EQ to optimise sales growth whilst nurturing long-term client relationships
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Business
- Fluency in English
- Understanding and/or previous experience working in Media Sales
Key Objectives and Responsibilities
- Leverage multiple tools to identify and correspond with prospective clients, incorporating each into the sales pipeline
- Qualify and progress leads in partnership with the demand generation team to drive conversion and create sales-ready opportunities while assessing their interest, needs, and budgets.
- Consistently achieve qualified opportunity quotas to ensure territory revenue objectives via phone calls, LinkedIn outreach, and email.
- Schedule appointments with qualified leads
- Maintain expertise across target buyers and influencers, market trends, and competitive offerings across core industry verticals to inform outreach and follow-up activities.
- Implement lead nurturing strategies designed to keep leads engaged in our services and take a proactive approach to iterate and improve existing processes.
- Drive results consistently, adapt to shifting priorities, and manage workload effectively; baseline performance metrics to show quarterly improvements, measure pipeline created and influenced, and show progress against goals and revenue targets.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize the prospect’s journey and provide front-line feedback.
