Job Description
This role is hybrid (3 days) in our Northbrook, IL and Chicago office
We are looking for a Senior Accounting Manager – Americas
who will be responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the close cycle and general ledger and reporting submissions of the UL Solutions entities in the US, Canada, and Latin America. In addition to supporting applicable local statutory and tax reporting requirements, the position is accountable to support all accounting policy responsibilities including oversight of the application of Company’s accounting policies in accordance with US GAAP.
You will oversee a team of ~20 GL accountants, from staff to managers both based locally and internationally, and will report to the Global Accounting Director.
This is a high-profile position with interactions and dependencies with corporate accounting and other Finance teams, business leads, legal team and executive management.
You will contribute to enhancing month-end close procedures through sharing accounting expertise, implementing process improvements, and validating the nature of account balances and activity to ensure accurate financials.
You will also be the point person for Internal and External Audit requests related to their areas of responsibility.
