About the job

We are looking for a minimum 15 years experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. He should have solid communication, technology, organizational, analytical skills advanced Excel abilities. He should be experienced and ready to learn different accounting soft wares and work independently.

Responsibilities for Senior Accountant
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
• Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
• Managing income and expenditure accounts
• Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers
• Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
• Prepare daily fund flow reports
• Assist with tax audits and tax returns
• Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
• Plan, assign and review staff’s work
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Keeping a check on the company’s finances based on the financial status
• A team leader that is enthusiastic and provides support with our ERP implementation planning

Key Requirements: Responsibilities

  • Proposal writing and review, content development and research
  • Account management, including leading client and internal meetings
  • Account monitoring, reporting and analysis
  • Manage medium to large sized projects across account programmes, including the management of suppliers
  • Client counsel, both tactical implementation and general day-to-day contact
  • Assist in developing and preparing new business proposals and presentations

Key Requirements

  • Bi-lingual, with an understanding of public relations and experience working with corporate and government clients
  • Previous client facing experience, including providing tactical counsel
  • Strong UAE media relations with English and Arabic media outlets
  • Strong project management skills
  • Effective time management, and demonstrated ability to work to tight deadlines, whilst managing multiple accounts
  • Experience guiding junior employees
  • Ability to communicate effectively, including skills in negotiation and obtaining cooperation.
  • Strong content development skills, and experience drafting press releases, media alerts, bylined articles, features etc.
