Job Responsibilities:
1. Routine Maintenance
Providing technical support for CCC & Security system. Day to day activities in Installation and maintenance for various types of application software, maintain and upgrade servers, workstations, network switches, computers peripheral equipment and associated applications. Responsible for routine preventive measure and implementing maintaining and monitoring network security, ensure the anti-virus software to be updated on a regular basis where applicable. Must adopt appropriate changes in the system configuration to fulfil the operational need. Maintain documentation on hardware/software licenses and inventory. Add and remove user network accounts where appropriate.
2. Trouble Shooting / System Availability
Respond requests and telephone calls for technical assistance and provide solutions for technical inquiries on day to day user operational support. Minimize systems downtime and maintain up-to-date backup to enhance the availability and reliability of system operation. Give technical training for new staff. Expand or modify system to serve new purposes or improve work flow, first level support to users on faults to be provided. Investigate cases on misuse of communications, systems and unauthorized attempts to use network resources and violation of computer security policy. Review and make recommend on process improvements for increased efficiency.
3. Communication/Coordination & Team Work Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation with the DP World. Communication with LINE Manager, Peers, or Subordinates. Providing information to supervisors and co-workers in the written form. Uninterrupted communication with World Security office, Coordination of technical meetings and agenda. Ensure that World Security interest is protected with DPW at all time.
4. Reporting & Documentation
Provide daily, weekly & monthly reporting to DP World CCC on the movement of all on-going issues. Compliance to standards. Maintain records on all incidents, log of all technical faults identified and rectified, provide faults report and escalate to second level / third level vendor support if necessary thereby maintain user satisfaction. Monthly summary reports must be submitted at WS Engineering.
5. Special Projects
As and when assigned by the HOD / LINE Manager.
Coordinate and plan when necessary to understand and analyze the requirements of the DP World, reporting to WS Engineering office and dotted line reporting to DP World CCC Department, identify IT scope of works to be delivered for task, identify needs for further or specific training, equipment, support.
Stay abreast of new solutions, services, and product information must update LINE on latest industrial trends to enhance the service level subject to nomination by organization to visit relevant IT expo, conferences and seminars.
