  • Monitor and evaluate the accounts team in a division that fosters expansion and looks after funds and connections with insurance providers.
  • Work closely with the stakeholders to drive high-quality month-end closure within strict deadlines.
  • Identify and understand the strategy, put the finance handbook into practice, and help create and apply internal controls.
  • Coordinate with external & internal auditors and ensure timely closure of audits.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with VAT laws and filing of returns and also expertise in submitting reports for the Insurance authority & Central Bank of UAE.
  • Manage Banks, Monthly Bank reconciliations and ensure timely payments of expenses(Planned as per cashflow position).
  • Preparation of payment proposal, making payments and allocations of policies accordingly and payment for the commission of sub-brokers (Both Life & General).
  • Quarterly closing of accounts along with a reconciliation of insurance companies.
  • Post invoices for Life Accounts and maintain reserve accounts for life agents.
  • Gratuity / Accruals / Depreciation schedule will be the responsibility.
