ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

โ€ข Prepare schedules for all personnel according to the forecast and within the limits of the manning guide, to ensure adequate manpower at all times and under the guidance of the General Manager โ€“ Brand.

โ€ขConduct regular training sessions with the assigned team in line with departmental SOPโ€™s.

โ€ขConduct the job training of future Assistant Managerโ€™s if the situation calls for. ยท Prepare and issue duty schedules for the assigned team.

โ€ขEnsure the proper appearance and grooming of assigned team members. ยท Evaluate the performance of the assigned team and internal promotions.

โ€ขShortlist new potential employees for development.

โ€ขHandle the welcome and seating of arriving guests with the assistance of the hostess.

โ€ขMaintain a professional relationship with the outlet patrons.

โ€ขResolve guest complaints immediately.

โ€ขBe actively involved in the outlets promotional activities.

โ€ขEstablish a close working relationship with the kitchen and liaises with the chef about menu changes and menu presentations.

โ€ขWorks in close contact with the Chefs and Kitchen employees as well as cashiers to ensure a smooth operation

โ€ขGiving instruction and recommendations to employees to complete daily tasks

โ€ขAct as a coordinator for any guest complaint between kitchen staff, service staff and guest

โ€ขFollows up that food and beverage is served and cleared according to the standards and sequence of service

โ€ขControls food and beverage inventory and maintains the stock

โ€ขEnsures operating equipment is sufficient and in the finest condition and highest quality

โ€ขUnderstands and follow up on health, safety, fire and emergency procedures and reports accidents and safety hazards.

โ€ขFollows up on clean uniforms and that the highest standards of grooming and personal hygiene of the staff are maintained

โ€ขAttends meetings as directed or required

โ€ขPerforms any other duty as required

OTHER DUTIES

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by the company from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the organisation.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS EDUCATION

Bachelorโ€™s degree in relevant field Minimum Diploma in Hospitality Management or Administration EXPERIENCE Minimum 2-3 yearsโ€™ experience as a manager in a restaurant UAE experience preferred

Hospitality and Restaurants
