The Role
We are looking for a smart & ambitious Senior Accountant to provide support to the finance department by managing daily accounting tasks. You will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company’s finances. Preparing financial statements, Profit & Loss, Balance-sheet, Supplier reconciliation and reporting are a large part of the Senior Accountant’s day-to-day work. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail. The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department and help the company be fully aware of its financial condition. This way it can make the right decisions and accomplish long term success.
You Will Be Responsible For
- Monitor the financial information system to ensure that timely and accurate information is provided for managerial decision making.
- Scrutinizes supplier invoices, keep record of the same and responsible for processing payments in accordance with authorization and approval policies
- Reconciling supplier Statement of Accounts as per agreed Turn Around Time
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly reports as stated by the management
- Responsible for interacting with suppliers, providing payment updates and act as single point of contact for resolving any queries
- Expected to handle multi-currency and multi-location accounting schemes
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Responsible for performing bank reconciliation currency wise
- Prepare and monitor cash flow projections at each country level and come up with qualitative observations on future cash position
- Responsible for end to end accounting function for designated location, including the preparation of estimates, budgetary control and final accounts for a cost centre
- Experience in E-commerce background would be an added advantage.
- Prepare monthly Profit and Loss, balance sheet and cash flow for cost centre and track the same against forecasts.
- Develop and maintain all other necessary controls and processes to ensure that legal and financial requirements and regulations are complied with.
- Oversee the administration of any loans and repayments, including maintaining liaison with lenders.
- Assist in preparation of long-term cash flow forecasts and any fund raise initiatives
- Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
Ideal Profile
Key Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or equivalent. Master’s degree or any professional qualification would be preferred.
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience as an Accountant is a MUST
- Excellent accounting skills and well versed with accounting principles and latest updates to the standards
- Experience in managing team would be preferred
- Experience in accounts receivable & accounts payable management
- Excellent knowledge in Accounting Software such as Tally, Zoho Books
- Proficient MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous employment in a similar position handling accounting function
