To maintain competitive advantage as we grow, we are currently looking for a Senior (SAP) Accountant.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform reconciliations for Banks accounts, Accounts Receivable, and Payable
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Prepares account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
- Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
- Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements
- Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries
- Sorting out the incoming and outgoing daily posts and answering any queries
- Managing petty cash transactions
- Managing the audit and external auditors
- Prepare asset, liability and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
- Preparation of VAT reports in compliance with UAE law
- Supports accounting operations by filing documents
- Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents
- Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
- Contribute to a strong client relationship through positive interactions with client personnel
- Communicate with Manager and/or Director on work status and client issues that arise
- Protects the organization’s value by keeping information confidential
- Preparing Invoices for intercompany
- Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum of four years’ of professional accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
- ACCA or CPA preferred
Required Skills/ Competency:
- Understanding of Financial Services/FinTech sector, communication skills and problem-solving attitude.
- Solid Accounting Experience
- Experience with SAP is a must
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English in a business setting
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and high degree of customer orientation
- Problem solving and analytical skills
