Responsibilities:
Finance Management:
- Responsible for management of entire accounts and finance function.
- Ensure necessary financial controls, systems and processes and ensure accuracy and integrity of the financial records.
- Liaise with departmental managers, providing support on finance related matters; dealing with queries and issuing procedures.
- Full TB review and understand each line item and take corrective action if required ▪ Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts.
- Seek out methods for minimizing financial risk to the company.
- Act on recommendations or instructions communicated by Group finance team.
- All foreign currency exposure to be reviewed and hedged on a periodic basis.
- Royalty commitments: Royalty payments, reporting and compliances with the Brand Houses. 2.
Operations
- Responsible for the financial operations.
- Monitoring key aspects operations like: ✓ Pricing- Billing factors etc. ✓ Credit periods for customers and vendors ✓ Follow up for Overdue Accounts Receivables ✓ Review of all intercompany balances ✓ Follow up for aged stock etc. for clearance and ensuring correct provision ✓ Have control over inventory and its management ✓ Bank payment processing and bank reconciliation
Based on above, initiating corrective action with respective stakeholders.
- Approving purchase orders based on preset criteria – Ex. Sales forecast, stock in hand, stock in transit, payment terms, etc.
- Follow-up with the sales team for any shortfalls against sales budget and understand reasons for shortfall / excess. If required, report to the Group finance/CFO.
- Providing strategic recommendations to the Group CFO and Sales Heads.
- Suggestion for reduction of overall overheads wherever necessary.
Reporting
- Ensure timely and adequate month end closing.
- Prepare all financial and treasury monthly reports as required by Group Finance Team.
- Group Management Reporting – Understand the template in discussion with the Group Finance Team and ensure timely and correct reporting.
- Managing the processes for financial forecasting and budgets.
- Provide periodic reports to the sales team based on their requirements.
- Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations Providing all financial reports as required by any third parties like govt authorities, royalty reports, inventory ageing report, etc.
Legal, Taxation and Others
- Ensure that the Company complies with respective legal, tax (VAT) and other regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with bankers/ consultants / auditors etc.
- Completion of annual audit of the financial statements within local/group timelines.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Charted Accountant from ICAI or similar institution
- Minimum 3 years of experience post qualification
- Good communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and hands-on experience of ERP. exposure of Microsoft Dynamic – BC 365 will be an added advantage
