ABOUT THE ROLE
The IT Executive will oversee all IT functions of the company and be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing hardware & software components of the company`s IT equipment, maintaining workstations including technical assistance and preventative maintenance when necessary troubleshooting equipment for malfunctions to eliminate problems in minimum time.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
- Review diagnostics and assess the functionality and efficiency of systems
- Implement security measures
- Handle business-critical IT tasks and system improvements
- Enable faster and smarter business processes and employee productivity
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software
- Serve as the subject matter expert supporting MAC OSX, Windows, and all common office software and applications, such as Microsoft, Adobe, and G-Suite products
- Install, configure, and support workstation software, hardware, printers, and phones
- Analyze staff needs, identify vulnerabilities, boost efficiency and accuracy
- Execute system and network administration, design, documentation, implementation, and testing., ensuring components meet needs and work together seamlessly
- Implement applications and software upgrades, as well as performance troubleshooting
- Provide the employees with technical support when needed
- Implement and monitor daily backup and recovery procedures
- Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
- Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work
- Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule
- Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders
- Communicate with vendors
- To manage and maintain the inventory of the IT equipment
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field
- At least 3-4 years of experience in the IT industry (preferably in an organization with 100+ employees)
- Extensive knowledge of computer hardware and software, network maintenance, and advanced industry knowledge
- In-depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks, equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance-monitoring tools
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills in English
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
- Certification as IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional)
