We are looking for an Accountant to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets.
Accountant responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns.
Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we are compliant with all tax regulations.
To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes.
Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting transactions
- Handle bookkeeping activities
- Managing income and expenditure accounts
- Handle all employee expenditures including payroll
- Manage budgeting and forecasting
- Reconcile the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
- Reconcile and follow up accounts payable and receivable
- Issue and follow up invoices to customers
- Ensure timely bank payments
- Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations
- Prepare budget forecasts
- Publish financial statements in time
- Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
- Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
- Audit financial transactions and documents
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
- Comply with financial policies and regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Work experience of minimum 1 year as an accountant / accountant assistant / Bookkeeper
- Good knowledge of UAE accounting regulations and procedures
- Knowledge of general ledger activities
- Knowledge of bookkeeping procedures
- Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks, amongst others.
