The Job Opportunity
Serco is currently looking for a Finance & Commercial Manager who will provide financial leadership as a key part of the Citizen Services, Health & Defense sector management team. The successful individual will oversee all aspects of multiple contracts’ finance function, including internal / external client and vendor stakeholder management and value add reporting to the business.
Key accountabilities
The Finance & Commercial Manager will ensure timely and accurate records of financial data and provide financial management information to the CSH&D Finance Business Partner. To set budgets and forecasts for the performance of the sector and ensure awareness of all issues that may materially impact the financial performance and report accordingly. To be responsible for all matters financial for the sector, to liaise with contracts to address any such issues and reach conclusion.
What we are looking for in our candidates:
We are looking for an individual with proven track record in managing a finance team, interacting with senior management and delivering accurate and timely data. Someone who has contractual and commercial experience in dealing with clients and suppliers to obtain the most favorable terms.
Specific requirements
- Qualified Accountant to an internationally recognized standard;
- A degree holder in a related discipline;
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Accounting / Finance and 7 of which are in a managerial capacity.
- Has up to date knowledge of the international accounting standards (IFRS).
- Knowledge of UAE VAT laws and general corporate tax laws.
