About the role
The firm has been going through a period of significant growth over the last three years, through both acquisition and organic growth. Key responsibilities will include
- Key contributor in the group financial planning and reporting processes that include periodic reporting, annual budgeting, and various forecasting cycles.
- As the organisation continues to grow, systems implementations will be a key part of the FP&A teams remit, so this role will support with said implementations.
- Business partnering key business leaders, providing challenge and insights, and ensuring Opex budgets and forecasts are well understood
- Business partnering business leaders to provide insights to performance and efficiency to facilitate achievement of departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
- Supporting management to analyse business cases, formulate models, and calculate the return on investment for expenditure and other operational decisions.
- Leading the preparation of cost-centre reporting packs for some of the Executives,adding insightful analysis against forecast and budget
- Lead role in the year-end consolidated and divisional budget process and periodic reforecasting
- Continued development and improvement of 5 year plan models, financial reporting packs, budgets, forecasts, reports and analysis
- Analysing data and understanding the financial and operational performance of the Group and perform variance analysis and identify key drives of business variances for performance measurement
- Analysing data and performing detailed analysis of financial and operational performance by different dimensions (i.e., by BU, region, platform, brands) to better understand the Groupโs performance, identifying key drives of business variances for performance measurement
- Providing financial evaluation to support new investment/capex/project, strategic and other business decisions
- Identifying and reviewing the critical cost area with different business units and different lines of business and recommending new productivity or cost saving initiatives.
- Reviewing existing processes and procedures to develop recommendations for improvements.
- Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the CFO.
Requirements:
- Possess professional qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, or other equivalent qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree
- Minimum 5 years of relevant analytical experience
- Experience in FX/Financial Services industry is an advantage
- The right candidate must possess positive personality of having passion and take initiative toward works, hand-on mentality and willing to take up new challenges
- Able to meet tight deadline under pressure, able to work independently with minimum supervision and is a good team player
- Meticulous, strong problem-solving skill and strong analytical skillset
- Good analytical and PowerPoint representation skills.
- Strong business acumen and strong interpersonal skills to liaise with all internal and external stakeholders
- Proficient in MS office application, Dashboard reporting tools, and BI tools
