About the Position:
Operational Auditor – Automotive – Group Audit – Abu Dhabi
As part of the Group Audit Team and reporting to the Audit Manager your main objective is to conduct internal audit activity of the automotive business segment in order to evaluate and examine all business activities in regards to reliability and integrity of information, safeguarding of assets, economical use of resources and compliance with policies, procedures, laws and regulations.
You will assist the audit manager in the development of an annual audit plan by assessing the degree of risk, assist in the development of an audit program for each audit assignment before the commencement of the audit, conduct internal audit assignments for evaluation of adequacy and effectiveness of the system of internal control and quality of performance in carrying out assigned responsibilities in all business processes/segments, review the approval process to ensure that Group policies/ procedures and delegations of authorities have complied, ensure that assets of the group are safeguarded, prepare professional audit reports which should clearly communicate findings, analysis, appraisals, recommendations and information concerning the activities audited and the Audit Manager should be timely updated with key findings.
The Operational Auditor will discuss preliminary audit findings with the concerned staff/ management in order to highlight the observations to management and to get their concurrences, assist in the preparation of an executive summary for each engagement along with the detailed report and audit follow up form, assist in the preparation of the monthly summary report.
The job holder needs to assist in the follow-up on the implementation of audit recommendations.
About You:
To be eligible for this role one or more of the following qualifications are required; CA, CPA, ACA, CMA, CIA or ACMA along with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in operational and financial audits. Preference will be given to those candidates who have the above experience within the automotive industry.
Candidates should have strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, a high level of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
