We are looking for an Accountant to manage financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to Petty cash handling and FA recognition.

Accountant responsibilities include, but not limited to, reviewing financial documents and procedures, recording of AR/AP transactions and petty cash handling. To be successful in this role, you should have previous accounting experience with some large-scale corporate and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes.

Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate quantitative information on payable position and AR ageing to assist us preparing liquidity and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we are compliant with all tax regulations and adhere to group finance policies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounting transactions and monitor impact on financial statements
  • Prepare various MIS reports
  • Reviewing and recording of all payable invoices
  • Appropriate GL code identification and mapping for each expense/prepayment
  • Timely vendors payments upon maturity
  • AR invoice issuance and follow-up till settlement
  • Tracking of all cash received and receipts preparation
  • AR ageing analysis and cash in advance identification
  • Handle petty cash disbursement & replenishment
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
  • Analyze and compute VAT impact for each transaction
  • Inter-co AR/AP reconciliation
  • Self-audit financial transactions and documents
  • Comply with financial policies and regulations and reinforce financial data confidentiality

Requirements and skills

  • 5-7 years Work experience as an Accountant within complex accounting environment
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the International financial reporting standards (IFRS)
  • Hands-on experience with ERP accounting software
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
  • Knowledge of general ledger functions
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical & communication skills
  • Bachelor’s in accounting & Finance (progressive professional certification would be an advantage)
