To lead, implement and enhance all Human Resources practices, policies and procedures in a certain assigned business unit in order to achieve the company strategy, ensure an effective talent management and make HR a real business partner to employees and stakeholders, while promoting corporate values and shaping a positive culture.

Responsibilities

Team Management

  • Provides the business with adequate coaching, mentoring and training in order to achieve the desired business results and sustain Organizational Excellence and competitive advantage.

People Cost and Planning

  • Conducts the annual manpower and budgeting exercise accurately to ensure efficiency throughout the year.
  • Supports and facilitates the implementation of business structure, reorganization and consolidation to deliver efficiencies.
  • Participates in the annual pay review by researching and presenting any relevant information to HR Remuneration to support cases for changes to pay scales, benefits and allowances.
  • Translates the annual brand plan for human capital and develops it into an annual plan for the business, working with the Talent Acquisition team to achieve the objectives.

Employee Engagement

  • Consults & partners with line managers on all stages of the employee life cycle including performance management, employee development, retention, training, recruitment, induction, employee relations, conflict management and worker’s compensation to ensure alignment with HR and the rest of the organization.
  • Identifies opportunities to enhance employee engagement and morale based on feedback (climate surveys, exit interviews…) throughout the business by liaising with departmental managers and HR to build a positive working environment.
  • Acts as a strategic partner with the business in advising, coaching and mentoring management and the HR team on people related issues and provides solution.
  • Implements corporate HR initiatives/policies/tools with the respective business in order to ensure compliance.
  • Manages the Employee Engagement survey for the business, ensuring all impact plans have been submitted and implemented in the business.

Talent Management & Succession Planning

  • Leads the performance management process within the business area by guiding and advising managers on continued staff development through setting objectives, development plans, coaching and providing feedback.
  • Leads the Talent review exercise based on the HIPO identification process to ensure fairness and compliance with the group’s strategy.
  • Conducts the TNA and develops training calendars accordingly to ensure trainings & other learning activities are organized according to needs.
  • Liaises with the internal HR Team & suppliers’ Development team to ensure constant transfer of knowledge between the two via formal or informal trainings.
  • Conducts annual salary adjustment and bonus reviews across the business and rewards top performers to ensure their retention.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business, Phycology or any related field
  • Professional accreditation (CIPD or equivalent) is a plus
  • 7 – 10 years of Human Resources experience, ideally in a generalist advisory capacity
  • Experience in FMCG industry or retail background is a plus
