Falcon and Associates is looking to hire an experienced Finance Executive with a strong background or experience in a Big 4 audit firm. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the financial transactions. Our office is based in the DIFC.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Process daily transactions in the accounting system and ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records
- Assist with procurement cycle, including managing the purchase order process and keeping track of contracts
- Assist with credit control processes, manage accounts payable and receivable, follow up with clients, suppliers and partners, preparing and reconciling payments, providing analysis and insight on collection performance
- Perform the month-end closing, including journal preparation and posting, handling internal and external queries, reviewing transactions, investigating and explaining variances
- Perform reconciliations on general ledger, bank accounts and inter-company accounts
- Process expense forms and other accounting forms, including petty cash and credit card transactions
- Assist in the preparation of VAT reports
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for senior management
- Assist in the preparation of the annual audit schedules and liaise with auditors
- Assist with budget preparation
- As the opportunity arises, be flexible and pro-active to become involved in wider Falcon Group projects
Competencies
- BSc degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics and at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Ideally experience working in a Big 4 audit firm
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Strong systems, process and best practices experience
- Solid analytical ability, good judgement, strong operational focus and a creative thinker
- Work with a high attention to detail to maintain complete and accurate accounting records
- Organized, committed and flexible
- Ability to work under pressure, short deadlines and extra hours if needed on assignments
- Has the desire to improve processes and is willing to make suggestions, carry them forward and assist with implementing them confidently
