We are currently looking for a Finance Manager for a 6-9 month Maternity leave cover. This role will involve overseeing the finance function of the family office and reporting to the shareholders and CEO on a monthly basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparation and reporting on month end reporting to shareholders and CEO
- Monthly and annual consolidation of financial statements
- Preparation, monitoring and reporting on monthly and annual budget and cashflow
- Monitor the company’s financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
- Seek continual process improvement and implementation of changes
- Preparation of Quarterly funding requests
- Review of finance function’s daily/weekly tasks and processes
- Assist on new entity set up’s and implementation of finance function
- Management of company audits
- Understand and adhere to accounting policies, financial regulations, legislation and compliance
- Point of contact of all 3rd party service providers including auditors, bank, lawyers etc.
- Assist the CEO on investment activities
- Work closely with the CEO, providing insightful financial information to aid in long-term and short-term decision making
- Coordinate with legal counsel on legal matters as they rise
- Manage and file all corporate and family personal U.S. tax returns with the IRS within relevant deadlines
- Ensure UAE VAT returns are submitted with the FTA within deadline
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA/ACCA or equivalent is required (Big 4 experience a plus)
- Basic knowledge on individual and corporate U.S. tax
- Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting and/or financial analysis
- Preferably 2 years of experience in similar role, family office or start up environment
- Ability to work and effectively communicate with senior-level business partners professionally
- Excellent business judgment, analytical and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of financial reporting
- Strong demonstrated use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Organizational and leadership skills
