Overview Of The Role
We are currently looking to recruit a highly experienced Warehouse Supervisor with for Al-Futtaim Logistics. In this role, you are expected to effectively supervise warehouse activity, ensuring all deadlines and standards are achieved in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
What You Will Do
- You will supervise the day-to-day operations in terms of receiving, checking, storing, picking, stock control activities, quality, health & safety, and to ensure that these functions are carried out in a timely, reliable and cost-effective manner
- Coordinate inbound/outbound shipment activities
- Monitor and direct flow and/or movement of parts to ensure dock rotation and availability
- Overseeing the proper processing of daily orders, spreading workload among the warehouse personnel and directing work groups including inbound loads
- Ensure thorough training/cross-training of all warehouse personnel
- Preparing and monitoring the methods used for unloading and loading, including proper safety handling procedures
- Directing, auditing and confirming Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) methods based on Warehouse function
- Ensuring that the warehouse and outside areas are kept clean and neat, depicting a professional image at all times
- This includes assigning and delegating clean up zones as needed
- Maintain equipment and facilities to ensure a safe work environment
Required Skills To Be Successful
- 2-3 years’ experience in large scale warehousing operations/ 3PL operations
- Detailed understanding of operational, administrative and system processes in the warehouse
- Well experience in managing a team
- E-commerce fulfillment experience
About The Team
The role will report to the Operations Manager and you will be managing a team of 10-15 associates. You will be working in a dynamic and busy environment wherein you will be dealing directly with different stakeholders across the organization.
What Equips You For The Role
- The ideal candidate will possess a Warehousing, Logistics or Supply Chain Degree with at least 2-3 years’ experience in large scale warehousing, procurement, or transport operations
- You need to be a strong communicator in English and native languages of workforce. You must have an excellent planning, organizational skills, problem solving and has the ability of managing conflicts
