Overview:
As the Human Resources Payroll Coordinator for our FMCG company with approximately 1200 employees, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll activities. This position involves collaboration with various departments, attention to detail, and adherence to company policies and relevant labor laws.
Responsibilities:
1. Payroll Processing:
– Execute end-to-end payroll processing for a large employee base, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
– Verify time and attendance records, bonuses, allowances, and other relevant inputs for payroll calculations.
– Collaborate with department heads to validate and process any salary adjustments, promotions, or terminations.
2. Compliance and Reporting:
– Stay abreast of labor laws, tax regulations, and other relevant compliance requirements to ensure accurate payroll processing.
– Generate and analyze payroll reports, providing insights to management as needed.
– Assist in preparing documentation and reports for audits related to payroll.
3. Employee Records Management:
– Maintain accurate and confidential employee records related to payroll, including changes in personal information, tax withholding, and direct deposit details.
– Ensure all payroll-related documentation is filed appropriately and accessible for auditing purposes.
4. Communication:
– Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to payroll, deductions, and taxation.
– Communicate with relevant departments to address discrepancies and resolve payroll-related issues.
5. Systems and Technology:
– Work with HRIS systems to input and retrieve payroll data accurately.
– Collaborate with the IT department to troubleshoot and resolve any payroll system issues.
6. Benefits Administration:
– Support the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other applicable benefits tied to payroll.
7. Continuous Improvement:
– Identify opportunities for process improvements in payroll processing and implement changes as necessary.
– Stay informed about industry best practices in payroll management.
**Qualifications:**
– Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, or a related field.
– Proven experience as a Payroll Coordinator or in a similar role, preferably in the FMCG sector.
– In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and labor laws.
– Proficient in using payroll software and HRIS systems.
